Water depth doesn’t really matter, as long as you’ve got some kind of structure. Grass, brush piles, standing timber, docks and riprap are all suitable.
When
As long as the water is minimally in the high-50’s this lure can be deadly. If you’ve got crawfish knowledge, find out when they are on the move and target those times; usually around Spring, depending on where you’re at in the country.
How
The Hawg Daddy Craw is an excellent jig trailer, but also a mainstay on the texas rigged setup. Using a worm weight or even a punch weight when heavy mats are present. It can also be used on a shaky head for a unique, lifted claw presentation.
Ive used the Grn pumpkin/Chartreuse craw for about one and half hours and caught 2 fish. I’m digging these dudes. Was using it as a trailer on a vibrating jig. The claws gave it so much pop and action!
